Concierly uses hotel membership, roles and permissions to decide what each person can see and do. A job title is a good starting point. When planning access, though, permissions are what count.
Plan access around the work
- Housekeepers need their assigned rooms and the actions for recording cleaning.
- Engineers need the work orders and updates that fall to them.
- Front office needs room readiness and the guest follow-ups it handles.
- Supervisors and managers need the assignment, inspection or approval actions they’re responsible for.
Review permissions before rollout
Check who can view a module, create a record, assign work, record completion and approve the result. If access is limited to assigned work, make sure the right person is actually assigned. Two people with similar job titles don’t always need the same access.
When a screen or action is missing
First, check that the right hotel is selected and what the person is assigned to. Then ask a hotel administrator to review their access. A hidden button only changes what the app shows. The platform controls access to the data separately.
Keep access current
Review access when someone changes duties or leaves the hotel. Ask for a walkthrough to see the views your own departments would get, rather than relying on a generic role matrix.
